 Minority Serving Institutions
Efforts to provide access to quality education for all groups have led to the U.S. Department of Education designation of Minority Serving Institutions. The Cisco Networking Academy Program is working with these organizations to achieve digital equity in underserved areas to benefit African-Americans, Hispanics, Native Americans, Native Alaskans, Hawaiians and other minorities.

Background
Minority Serving Institutions are designated and defined differently for each group. The U.S. Department of Education, Office of Civil Rights maintains a list and definitions for those that are eligible for funding programs that support equal, quality access to education.  >> More

Cisco's Commitment
Cisco provides support and solutions to Minority Serving Institutions through programs like the United Negro College Fund Scholarships, infrastructure and training equipment donations and opportunities for program improvement. >> More
